Ronan McDonagh.

OFFALY'S Ronan McDonagh enjoyed a remarkable victory on Friday as he captured a special knockout title at the ADC National Finals in the UK, overcoming a strong field and defeating Fabian Tapner in an impressive final performance.

McDonagh, from Nenagh, was in outstanding form throughout the competition with a notable win over seasoned professional Terry Jenkins in the last 16, before producing a superb 91.39 average in his quarter-final victory against Michael Wiles.

In the semi-final, McDonagh faced fellow Irishman Ray Mulvey and delivered a dominant 4–0 win, averaging 87.13. He carried that momentum into the final, where he overcame Tapner 4–1 with an 88.56 average to secure the title.

This triumph adds to what has already been an excellent run of form for McDonagh, following his success at the Irish Classic in Killarney the previous weekend.
