The Offaly GAA hype train is in full swing this week with the RTE cameras down to cover the scramble for tickets and now a new hype song has been released.

The pair have worked together before and the song, Offaly Heroes, could be an anthem for multiple Offaly teams. It even features the iconic commentary from the 1982 All-Ireland football final and that famous Seamus Darby goal.

Offaly has two major finals coming up and Simon has a big connection to one of those. His daughter Mella is on the Offaly U14 football panel preparing for the Silver All-Ireland Football Final on June 8. They will play Donegal on the day.

Also this weekend, the Offaly U20 hurlers are going in search of an All-Ireland hurling title when they play Tipperary on Saturday evening, June 1.

Simon said: "I'm delighted to collab with my sidekick Paul Skelton to bring you a new Offaly dance anthem and it’s a bit of a banger."

"This tune is dedicated to all our Offaly Heroes past and present. A big shout out to our Offaly Ladies U14s who’ve been onto me all year to record a tune. My daughter Mella is on the panel and they’ve gone viral a few times with their dance celebrations. Let’s hope they can do the biz against Donegal on Saturday week.

"As for the U20s, an amazing bunch of lads who have won the hearts of everyone. We love our county. Bring it home, lads.
It’s always a great time to be an Offaly supporter. Up the Faithful. Turn it up," he concluded.
