JYSK to open in Tullamore

JYSK, the international home furnishing retailer with Scandinavian roots, has received permission from Offaly County Council to open a unit in Tullamore.

Plans include a change of use from what was the Argos catalogue store to a retail warehouse.

Proposals include alterations to the internal layout of the premises and an increase in the front of house retail area. A new lift will replace a staircase in the building

The first JYSK store opened in Naas in 2019, and since then, JYSK has gone on to open 20 stores in towns and cities across the country from Letterkenny to Youghal.

JYSK (pronounced YOOSK) specialises in products for the home and garden. It also concentrates on sleeping products including mattresses, duvets, and pillows to bed frames and bases.

JYSK’s Scandinavian design ethic and approach to interiors has made the brand popular in Ireland.

JYSK also has stores in Athlone and Portlaoise.
