Two people were taken to Mayo University Hospital (MUH) following an explosion which occurred at a restaurant in Mayo in Castlebar.
The suspected gas explosion occurred at the Tulsi Indian restaurant on Lower Charles Street in Castlebar at around 8:30 the evening of Sunday January 26.
Two people, who are believed to be employees at the restaurant, were taken to MUH following injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Neighbouring residents reported hearing a loud blast from the explosion which damaged the roof of the affected building, according to Midwest radio.
