ALERT: Lidl issues urgent recall of popular treats due to health fears

Lidl have issued an urgent recall notice for popular sweet treats sold in their Irish stores amid health fears.

Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland are recalling “Duc De Coeur, Salted Caramel & Chocolate Tartlets” due to an incorrectly declared allergen on the ingredients list.

The ingredient soya is not in bold within the back of pack ingredients. This may be a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya.

The food recall applies to all batches and best before dates, with no other Duc De Coeur products being affected, Lidl confirmed.

Customers allergic to soya are advised not to consume the product. Instead, the product can be returned to the Lidl store where it was purchased with or without a receipt.
