Heritage Society sponsors prize fund for Heritage Week Lego Competition

Roscrea Heritage Society will sponsor prizes for lego competition.

FOLLOWING on from Roscrea Tourism Committee’s initial announcement regarding hosting a Lego competition during National Heritage Week it can now be announced that Roscrea Heritage Society have very kindly come onboard to sponsor €250 worth of prizes for this event.

There will be two categories Under 12 years of age and Over 12 years of age with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize in each category.

The Lego competition theme is Exploring Our Foundations and is being held during Heritage Week with the inspiration for your lego build to be any building/monument/place or a craft that has lived on through generations. Entries are to be submitted to Roscrea Library from Monday August 18th 2025 at 9am to Friday August 22nd 2025 at 12 noon. An entry form, available at Roscrea Library, must be completed on submission of Lego build. Please find Terms and Conditions for this event on Instagram Roscrea.ie or at Roscrea Library.

This is the 2nd year of this competition with last yea'rs competition very well supported with the winning entry depicting the 12th Century Romanesque Doorway situated across from the Round Tower in Roscrea, from lego enhusiast Tim Tierney.
