The youngest pupil in junior infants and the oldest pupil in 6th class raise the “Bí Cineálta Flag” as a symbol of the school’s effort to promote kindness, respect, equality and inclusion.
ON June 20th, pupils, parents and staff enjoyed a day of celebrations in Rath NS.
A special Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr Moorhead and Rev. Fr Guinan to celebrate a wonderful year in the school and to wish the pupils in sixth class well as they depart for secondary school.
This was followed by other events to acknowledge the school’s many achievements throughout the year. Pupils, staff, parents and friends of the community assembled outside in the sunshine to celebrate.
Mrs McDonnell, school principal, thanked everyone for all the efforts to enhance the pupils’ learning and wellbeing throughout the school year. She thanked the Parents’ Association for their terrific support. The Parents’ Association raised funds to create a beautiful sensory garden and an outdoor classroom which are used and enjoyed by the whole school community. The Parents Association and the Board of Management were instrumental in the addition of a sensory room also.
