The motorcycle seized in Roscrea

Tipperary Roads Policing motorcycle unit spotted this fellow biker in Roscrea on Monday and observed they were “poorly dressed for the occasion, wearing a pair of shorts and t-shirt”.

The Gardaí pulled over the motorcyclist to discuss their PPE and discovered the rider never held a licence for a motorcycle and had no insurance.

As a result the motorcycle was seized and the rider is due to appear in court.

Over the weekend the Roads Policing Unit was on duty in Thurles and observed a van parked in a bay designated for disabled drivers.

"We are constantly monitoring disabled bays throughout the county", the Gardaí warned anyone thinking of abusing the special parking spaces.
