The man refused to leave the scene.
AN intoxicated man was arrested for refusing to comply with a Garda's order to leave an area, during the May Bank Holiday weekend.
At 6.10pm on Monday May 5th a male was observed in Demesne View, Birr acting in an intoxicated manner on the footpath.
When a Garda arrived at the scene the male was spoken to by the Garda and asked to leave. He refused to co-operate and was therefore arrested and charged.
