The annual world of prayer will take place on Friday, March 7th at 8 pm in St Cronan's Church of Ireland, Church Street, Roscrea.

This year the service has been compiled by women from the Cook Islands in the Pacific Ocean. The Cook Islands consist of 15 islands, 12 of which are inhabited. The capital of the Cook Islands is Rarotonga, a volcanic island with a population of 10,000.

Many islanders have emigrated to New Zealand or Australia.

The service entitled 'I made you wonderful' is thought provoking and full of optimism.

This will be a great opportunity to hear the stories of people who live and work on an island on the other side of the world. Refreshments following the service and everyone is welcome.
