The Bishop of Ossory, Niall Coll.
BISHOP of Ossory Niall Coll will visit Clareen on March 2nd to mark the St Kieran's Day celebrations. St Kieran's Day is March 5th, which this year is also Ash Wednesday.
The celebration this year also coincides with the Jubilee Year of Hope. Boshop Coll, reflecting on this word hope said:
“Hope looks like forgiving when you want to stay angry.
Hope looks like being kind to someone who doesn't deserve it because you believe they can change.
Hope looks like standing up for what is right, even when it costs you, because you believe justice matters.”
Join the Bishop and parishioners in Clareen on Sunday March 2nd for Mass at 10am followed by their pilgrimage walk to the three main sites associated with St Kieran.
St Kieran inspires them to continue to hand on the tradition of this day to the next generation. It may be an island parish, small in stature but proud in tradition of being the cradle in which the spiritual identity of Ossoty first emerged.
Be a pilgrim of hope on this day and continue to serve God joyfully, in peace and love with one another.
After the pilgrimage join them for refreshments and chat in their parish hall. All are welcome.
