According to Met Éireann, the weather will be unsettled during the week with strong winds at times and spells of heavy rain and showers
According to Met Eireann, it will be rather windy for much of Monday with fairly widespread showers or longer spells of rain for a time, some heavy, with the chance of thunder, particularly in the north and northwest where spot flooding is possible. The showers and rain will gradually ease from the southwest from the late afternoon with many areas becoming dry during the evening with just isolated showers. However, the showers or further spells of rain will continue over Ulster. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds, along with coastal gales in the west for a time, easing a little later.
According to the latest Met Éireann weather forecast, Tuesday morning will start off dry and bright for most with just isolated showers. Cloud will build from the southwest through the morning with outbreaks of rain spreading northeastwards through the day. Heavy at times in the west and southwest come the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
According to the latest Met Éireann weather forecast, Wednesday will be dry for most to start with spells of rain in the northeast. Brighter spells will develop come the early afternoon with isolated showers. Rain will develop from the southwest later Wednesday evening, and clear eastwards across the southern half of the country. Blustery with fresh to strong westerly winds reaching gale force on north and northwest coasts. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.
According to the latest Met Éireann weather forecast, Thursday will be a mostly dry and bright start with just a few isolated showers along north and northwest coasts. Isolated showers will develop throughout the day.
