Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland for the coming week
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, the country is in for some mixed weather this week.
Temperatures will reach the mid teens at times during the day with some outbreaks of rain at times with fog patches also.
Any lingering rain or drizzle in the east will clear early this morning (Sunday), to leave a mainly dry day across the country. There'll be some good spells of sunshine across the western half of the country but it'll stay rather cloudy further east. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees and it'll be breezy with moderate to fresh northerly winds, though the winds will ease later in the day.
It will be mostly dry and cold on Sunday night with long clear spells. Some patches of mist may develop in light northwest breezes. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, Monday will be mainly dry with bright or sunny spells. Cloud will build from the northwest in the afternoon with outbreaks of light rain or drizzle following in the evening. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light northwest breezes.
Patchy rain and drizzle will spread from the northwest overnight on Monday reaching most areas by morning. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light west to northwest breezes.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, it will be mostly cloudy to start on Tuesday with patchy light rain or drizzle. It will gradually brighten up with dry and sunny conditions developing through the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light northerly breezes. A cold and dry night with long clear spells at first but cloud will build from the west by morning. Patches of mist and fog will form in light southwest or variable breezes. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, mist and fog will slowly clear Wednesday morning and after a dry start cloud and patchy drizzle will spread from in the west. More persistent rain will move into the northwest later in the day. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly winds. On Wednesday night, outbreaks of rain will spread southeastwards over the country. A clearance will follow into the northwest later in the night. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in moderate westerly winds.
