DEPUTY John Clendennen, Fine Gael TD for Offaly has welcomed confirmation of €10,000 in funding for the Offaly Public Participation Network (PPN) for its project entitled “Offaly Integration and Co Creation” under the 2025 Integration Fund, announced by Minister of State for Migration, Colm Brophy TD.
The 2025 Integration Fund provides €3.6 million in total to 117 community-based projects nationwide, supporting initiatives that foster inclusion, understanding, and participation among migrants and local communities.
Welcoming the announcement, Deputy Clendennen said, “This is a very positive development for Offaly. The “Offaly Integration and Co Creation “project by the Offaly Public Participation Network reflects the strong community spirit and inclusivity that our county is known for. This funding will support initiatives that help migrants and local residents work together, share experiences, and strengthen our communities. I want to commend everyone involved in the Offaly PPN for their leadership and commitment to integration.”

The Integration Fund, managed by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, brings together the former International Protection Integration Fund and Communities Integration Fund. Since their inception, the funds have provided close to €10 million to over 1,000 projects across Ireland.
Announcing the successful projects, Minister of State Colm Brophy said, “I am delighted to announce the list of successful local groups who will receive funding from the Integration Fund today. The Integration Fund has been established for local community groups and civil society organisations who have been working tirelessly to promote and further integration within Irish society. Carrying out this work in an increasingly divisive world deserves to be recognised and commended. It is only through greater understanding and working together as local groups that we can improve integration and make Ireland a better and more tolerant country to live in for everyone.”
Deputy Clendennen added, “I want to acknowledge all the team at Offaly PPN and the great work they do. Initiatives like this show how national policy can make a tangible difference at a local level. Offaly continues to demonstrate leadership in building inclusive communities, and I am delighted to see our local organisations being recognised and supported.”
