'Let Go!' Brawl between women leaves one topless after Limerick concert

A video of the incident has been widely shared on social media

A VIDEO of two women fighting in Limerick city, which left one in a state of undress, has gone viral.

The short clip appears to be taken by a bystander on the Ennis Road after The Big Day Out concert in TUS Gaelic Grounds, titled “The Biggest 90's & 00's Festival in Ireland”.

CWB, the promoter of the Big Day Out concert, has contacted the Limerick Leader to make clear that the incident did not occur at the concert or inside the concert grounds and had nothing to do with the concert.

The two women appear to have a grasp of each other’s hair. Multiple shouts of “Let Go” can be heard during the clip which has been “forwarded many times” on WhatsApp since the incident on Saturday night.

One man intervenes and tries to separate the two women. He is assisted by a second man and other women.

The video shows that one of the women becomes partly undressed during the pulling and dragging, exposing a breast. A number of onlookers paused to see what was happening with some taking out their mobile phone to record it.

Limerick Live contacted gardai to see if the matter had been reported to authorities. However, a garda spokesperson said there were no incidents of that nature reported “at this time”.
