Met Eireann has issued a thunderstorm warning for parts of Ireland as temperatures soar across the country.
Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Thunderstorm Warning for Clare, Kerry and Limerick for Wednesday from 3pm to 9pm.
It warns that thunderstorms are possible the may lead to localised flooding, lightning damage and difficult travelling conditions.
The Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland for Wednesday is forecasting warm and humid weather with sunny spells. Showers will push up from the southwest through the afternoon and evening, some heavy with thunderstorms possible. Highest temperatures of 21 to 27 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
Showers will continue for a time overnight on Wednesday with mostly cloudy conditions, and some limited clear spells developing. Very mild with temperatures not falling below 14 to 17 degrees, in light to moderate southwesterly breezes.
According to Met Eireann, Thursday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers to begin with before long spells of sunshine break through in the afternoon and evening as showers ease. Highest temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees in light to moderate southwest breezes.
