In their first year competing in Díospóireacht an Phiarsaigh the Coláiste Naomh Cormac senior Irish debating team have reached the All-Ireland final on May 21st after a hard-fought win in the regional final in Leitrim on Tuesday night.

In the regional final, CNC Kilcormac took on Meánscoil Íosa agus Muire, Salerno Galway and Loreto College, Letterkenny.

All teams passionately fought the motion "Tá ár bhféiniúlacht mar náisiún caillte againn in Éirinn".

CNC were for the motion - "Our identity as a nation is lost in Ireland". Drawing on their knowledge from Yeats and their seanfhocail, CNC came away with the victory and as regional champions. Comhghairdeas to the whole team Lucy, Jiani, Jack and Rachel and their teacher Ms Browne. Go n-éirí libh i gcomórtas na hÉireann.
