Popular chocolate bar pulled from Irish supermarkets over fears of 'small stones' inside

Supermarkets across Ireland have had to pull a popular chocolate bar from the shelves over fears there may be "small stones" inside.

The following batches of Tony’s Chocolonely Dark Almond Sea Salt are being recalled due to the possible presence of small stones with point-of-sale recall notices to be displayed in stores.

  • Batches 162633 and 162614 with a best before date of 28/02/2026.

What to do

Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.

Wholesalers/distributors are requested to contact their affected customers and recall the implicated batches and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retail customers.

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.
