Prison sentence for Offaly man convicted for having cocaine for sale or supply
AN Edenderry man, Philip Perry, 25 Park View, was convicted of being in possession of cocaine for the purpose of sale or supply during last week's Tullamore Court sitting.
The offence happened on June 26, 2024 on Tyrell's Lane, Edenderry. Perry pleaded guilty to the offence.
Sergeant Brendan Kearns told the court that Mr Perry had 54 previous convictions including 27 convictions for road traffic matters. The value of the cocaine was €2,940.
The defending solicitor said addiction is an issue in his client's life, “and he had to resort to sale or supply to fund his addiction."

,” remarked Judge Andrew Cody, before convicting and sentencing to six months imprisonment.
