Met Eireann warns of damaging winds as Storm Kathleen set to hit Ireland hard

Met Eireann is warning of damaging winds on Saturday as Storm Kathleen is set to hit Ireland hard. 

Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange Weather Warning for Cork, Kerry, Galway and Mayo with a Status Yellow Weather Warning issued for the rest of the country.

The Status Orange Weather Warning comes into place at 7am Saturday and remains in place until 5pm on Saturday. Met Eireann is warning of very difficult travel conditions, fallen trees, some power outages, coastal flooding and wave overtopping.

A Status Yellow Wind warning for all of Ireland is warning of very strong and gusty southerly winds associated with Storm Kathleen. The warning is in place from 7am on Saturday until 8pm.
