ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour on the railway bridge on the New Road in Clara has been highlighted by local Fianna Fail councillor, Frank Moran.
Speaking at last Thursday's meeting of Tullamore Municipal District, Cllr Moran said the area in question was linked to Esker Court and there was no public lighting there.
He asked that the link be closed off.
He added that its purpose was to connect people living in Esker Court with the New Road and he conceded that extra lighting may help ease the situation.
Cllr Moran congratulated Clara Town FC on the installation of the new astroturf pitch but said traffic had increased in the area as a result.
He also asked that a bus shelter be provided in Clara and noted that the one at Tubber was nearing completion.

Responding Area Engineer Joe Dooley said he would assess the situation at the bridge at the New Road "on the ground" and meet with Cllr Moran there.
He outlined that he had no update on the bus shelter for Clara and said he would contact his colleagues in the council's roads section.
"I'm not sure why work hasn't started yet but do believe that the contractor is ready to go," added Mr Dooley.
Meanwhile Cllr Aoife Masterson said work was needed on line markings throughout Clara town as "people are confused as to where they can and cannot park."
She said work was needed on footpaths in Clara as well and pointed to the huge number of families with young children in the town.
Joe Dooley said work on footpaths in the Kilcoursey area was included in the programme of works but it would not be seen to until next year.
