Plans have been unveiled for major a revamp of prominent building in the centre of Birr.
The building at the bottom of the Main Street at 1 Market Square formerly housed Hackett's Bookmakers.
In a planning application lodged with Offaly County Council, plans have been unveiled to convert the building from a commercial unit to a six-bedroom guesthouse.
Plans show that the accommodation will be spread over three floors with two ensuite bedrooms on each floor.
Shannon Farrell has sought permission for the development with a decision due in mid-December.
