'A kind and caring person' - Warm tributes paid after passing of Pastor at church in Tullamore

Warm tributes have been paid following the unexpected passing of the Pastor at church in Tullamore.

Gavin Von Mollendorff was the Pastor of Cornerstone Slieve Bloom Church in the Sragh Business Park in Tullamore.

He passed away unexpectedly last week at his home. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Wendy and children Reuben, Joel, Rebecca, James and Andrew, his parents Sharon and Henry, brothers Stephen, Andre and Jonathan, parents in law Gordon and Winnie Cochrane, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and all at Cornerstone Slieve Bloom Church.

Tributes have been paid to Gavin following his passing on rip.ie

Once person wrote, "My Deepest Sympathies to Wendy and family on the sudden passing of Gavin. He was a kind and caring person a true gentleman to have had the pleasure to have known. Rest in peace."

Another wrote, "A devoted husband and Father. He was a pleasure to work and was so kind to all who knew him."

Another wrote, "I had the pleasure of working with Gavin, he was a professional to his core and supportive to all who worked with him. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I am sure there is a special place in heaven for Gavin and he will be rewarded for his generosity of spirit. May he rest in peace."

"We were so sorry to hear of Gavin’s passing. He had such a wonderful testimony of God’s goodness and faithfulness, and we are grateful that he is with his Saviour now. We will continue to pray for you all as a family at this time," another sympathiser wrote.

"I had the pleasure of having Gavin as a manager for the past two years and briefly back in 2018. Nothing was ever a problem for Gavin he met every obstacle with positivity, patience and encouragement and it was an honour to have known him. We will miss him tremendously," wrote another.

While another wrote, "A perfect, kind, gentle, giving & spiritual human being. Ar dhéis Dé go raibh a hAnam Dilís."
