AN event will take place at Kilbeggan Bridge in Tullamore this evening at 6pm in solidarity with Gaza and members of the Sumud Flotilla.
Organized by the group Tullamore for Gaza, the event is being held to show support for those on the Flotilla, including sixteen Irish citizens, who are currently being held in Israeli detention.
Organisers praised the flotilla participants in their "bravery and willingness to take such a grave risk" while attempting to deliver aid to Gaza.
The group is calling on all members of the Sumud Flotilla to be immediately released from Israel in this event which is welcome to all and will be family-friendly.
