There has been a huge drop in the asking price for what is described as a stunning Jacobean-style residence set within 9.67 hectares in Offaly that combines 'the allure of the past with the conveniences of modern living'. Incorporating part of a historic castle, Cangort House in Shinrone is said to offer a mix of historical charm and modern comforts. With eight bedrooms and a natural swimming pool, it was originally on the market with a staggering asking price of €1.95 million but that has now significantly reduced to a still eye-watering €1.65 million.
