Offaly man on drug charges ordered to stay out of Laois

An Offaly man has been ordered to stay out of Laois unless he was there for court appearances.

Adam O’Shea (19) of 51 Harbour Walk, Tullamore, Co Offaly is accused of possessing drugs for sale or supply at Apartment 3, Hynds Square, Portlaoise, on August 27, 2025.

Garda Pat Camon from the Laois Drugs Unit said the defendant made no reply when charged in relation to the matter. He said he wasn’t objecting to bail but would be seeking strict conditions.

These included “that he stay out of Laois in its entirety except for court appearances” and that provide an address outside of Laois.

He also asked that the defendant obey a curfew between the hours of 11pm and 6am, provide a phone number where he can be contacted and that he sign on at a local gardai station on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

He was also ordered to have no contact with two named men. The defendant was granted bail and adjourned to Portlaoise District Court on October 13, 2025.
