Stunning back nine shoots Shane Lowry up the leaderboard at PGA Tour Championship
A stunning back nine in his second round on Friday has shot Shane Lowry up the leaderboard at PGA Tour Championship and he broke an impressive putting record along the way.
The Tour Championship features just the Top 30 players in the PGA Tour's Fed Ex Cup rankings and is taking place at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
After an opening round of level par that left him in 23rd in the 30 man field, Shane was one under to the turn in his second round on Friday but clicked into overdrive on the back nine.
He birdied the 10th and the 12th before dropping in three birdies in a row on the 14th, 15th and 16th which included this near 100ft monster on the 14th which was the longest putt in Fed Ex Cup Playoffs history.
