Intoxicated young man in Offaly arrested for his own safety
O, Tuesday night, July 22, a young man in his early 20s was arrested by gardai in Offaly.
The incident happened at 1.30am in the morning on Railway Road in Birr when Gardai say they came across the young man in an intoxicated condition.
“He was so intoxicated he had to be arrested for his own safety,” said a Garda spokesperson.
The spokesperson added that as he was being arrested, the young man became verbally abusive towards the Gardai.
