Gardai stand down two missing person searches in the Midlands as updates issued

Gardai have stood down two missing person searches in the Midlands as updates have been issued.

Two people, a teenager and a man in his 30s had been reported missing from Laois in recent weeks.

Gardai said this morning that 16-year-old Jake Cunningham Burke, who is reported missing from Mountmellick, on Tuesday, July 8, has been found safe and well.

Gardai also say that Brian Cahill (38) who was reported missing from Clonaslee, Co. Laois, on Thursday, July 24, has been found safe and well.

Gardai thanked the media and the public for their assistance.
