The Dochas - Offaly Cancer Support Group team - which took part in the table quiz
LAST week was an eventful one for Tullamore's Colin McDonnell.
On Tuesday night Colin made his stage debut when he trod the boards for the first time in Tullamore Amateur Dramatic Group's (TADS')"Summer Shorts" series of one-act plays.
And a tired Colin – after a three night run in the arts centre – had another night to remember on Friday when he and his siblings, representing TADS, took the top prize in the inaugural Tullamore Credit Union 'Raise Your Voice Community Quiz Night'.
Twenty-five teams, representing community groups from Ballycommon to Ballyboy, Mucklagh to Tullamore, took part in the quiz in Maunsell's public house.
The quiz also provided an opportunity for groups to raise any issues and share any suggestions they had for improving the credit union's current service or introducing new services, outlined the body's Deputy CEO, Caroline Collins Murphy.

Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Eileen Brophy, said one of the main focuses of the credit union's strategic plan was to engage more with individual community groups and the quiz formed part of that plan.
She thanked all those who took part and those who helped to organise the successful event.
