Three individuals were arrested in the Midlands after a terrifying crash following an incident of alleged dangerous driving on Sunday, June 1. 

Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to the incident involving a black 2008 Seat Ibiza which occurred in Laois on Sunday, June 1 between 2:15 p.m. and 2:35 p.m.

According to gardai, the vehicle travelled at speed from Rathdowney to Donaghmore, then to Ballyquaid, and later became involved in a traffic pursuit with Gardaí from Shanboe to Ballybrophy, before returning through Donaghmore and colliding with another vehicle at Grantstown.

Gardai said that following the collision, the occupants fled on foot across fields but three individuals were arrested shortly afterwards.

The Garda spokesperson said they are appealing to anyone who witnessed the driving of this vehicle along the route, has dash cam or CCTV footage from any part of the journey or observed suspicious activity in the areas mentioned.
