A major power outage is affecting hundreds of homes and businesses in Offaly.
An outage in the Birr area is affecting homes and businesses in the town.
Shops are closed in the town as a result of the outage.
Traffic in the town is also affected as traffic lights are out in the town.
Powercheck.ie says that 862 customers are affected. It gives an estimated return time of 1.45pm
