A leading organic farm in Offaly has been given the green light for an expansion.
Mooney's Organics Lough Boora Farm has been given the green light by Offaly County Council for the works at its farm.
The development at Leabeg will include the construction of two organic growing polytunnel units, rainwater harvesting system, a new entrance and ancillary works.
They offer a wide range of organic fruit and vegetables and their produce is sold wholesale and direct to customers in weekly house box deliveries and at local markets.
Planning permission was granted with ten conditions attached including a Development Contribution of €5.070.
