Defendant accused of taking fuels ranging in price from €9.52 to €891 from fuel stations in Athlone, Mullingar, Roscommon, and Longford
A woman accused of being involved in a fuel scam that netted over €4,000 from fuel stations in the midlands in a two day period will return before Longford District Court on May 20.
Julie Nevin (27) of 114 MacEoin Park, Longford faces a total of 30 charges. The first charge is that on dates unknown in November 2023 at Circle K Head Office, Beech Hill Office campus, Clonskeagh, Dublin 4 she dishonestly issued details for a business account for Julie's Carpet Cleaner to make gains.
Prior to the substantial charges Ms Nevin is accused of stealing diesel worth €137.78, on December 10, 2023 from Corrib Oil Racecourse road, Roscommon and on March 11, 2025 taking diesel valued at €81.26 from Circle K Lanesboro.

The bulk of the charges stem from December 9, 2023 and December 10 2023 when the defendant is accused of taking fuels ranging in price from €9.52 to €891 from fuel stations in Athlone, Mullingar, Roscommon, and Longford.
Sergeant Enda Daly said the DPP had consented to summary disposal of the matter on a plea of guilty only. Sgt Daly told the court there was no objection to bail on conditions that were set out.
Judge Owens then adjourned the matter to a sitting of the District Court on May 20, 2025.
