Gardaí in Offaly are seeking to reunite some lost property with their rightful owners. In a post on Facebook, Gardaí in Birr said, "Can You Help Identify the Owners? Birr Gardaí are appealing to the public to help identify the owners of the items pictured below — a torch and three rings — which were recovered during a search operation in Birr on the 12th of March 2025."

"To date, these items have not been reported as stolen, and we have been unable to identify any owners.
"We believe the property may be linked to thefts from motor vehicles (MPVs) in the wider area in recent months.
"If you recognise any of the items or have information that may assist in identifying the rightful owners, please contact Birr Garda Station on 057 916 9710 or call the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
"Your assistance could help reunite these items with their owners."
