An Offaly parish held a Mass for Peace to start the New Year.
A Mass for Peace was celebrated on January 1 in St Brendan’s Church, Birr
The Mass had representatives from An Garda Siochana, the Irish Army, Fire Brigade, carers, teachers, and Birr Parish.
