Martin (Murt) Hurst passed away on Sunday
Tributes have been paid following the sad death of Martin (Murt) Hurst who sadly passed away on Sunday, January 5.
Murt, late of Greenwood Park, Edenderry, Offaly, passed away peacefully at Tullamore Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He is predeceased by his mother Eileen, father Seamus, and brothers Peter and Jerry.
He will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family: wife Lorraine, sons Darren, Ross and Evan, brothers Christy, Anthony, James, John and Declan, sisters Pauline, Helen and Bernie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Murt, with one mourner writing,
"Lorraine and the extended family I am really sorry that Murt has passed to his Heavenly reward. Murt and myself had many a good chat about life in general. Murt Im so glad to say was a good friend of mine and our chats were so interesting. May Murt Rest in Peace."
Another wrote,
"Our deepest condolences to Lorraine, Darren, Ross, Evan, The Hurst and Holt families and Murt's dear friend, Pat.
Thinking of you all during this time. Murt was a gent. He was some man for the bog, and even better for a story in Damos with a pint!! RIP Murt."
While another wrote,
"To Lorraine, Darren, Ross & Evan & extended family. We are so sorry for your big loss, Murt was such a lovely man, he will never be forgotten. RIP Murt."
Funeral Arrangements
Murt will repose at Larkin's Funeral Home, Edenderry today, Tuesday 7, from 6pm to 8pm with Rosary at 8pm.
His Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 12 noon in St. Mary's Church, Edenderry followed by burial in St. Mary's cemetery.
