Large number of patients on trolleys at Tullamore Hospital as winter surge continues

According to figures this morning from the INMO, there are a large number of patients on trolleys awaiting a bed at Tullamore Hospital.

The latest Trolley Watch figures show that there are 43 patients on trolleys at the hospital. According to the figures, all 43 patients are on trolleys in wards. 

The number for Tullamore is the fifth highest in the country behind Limerick (102), Cork (70), Galway (48) and Sligo (45). 

According to the Trooley Watch figures, there a total of 700 patients across the country waiting for a hospital bed today.
