Tullamore Court Hotel's Shauna and Fiona raise funds for Lions, Down Syndrome Ireland and Barnardo's
TWO of the Tullamore Court Hotel's staff members are leading the charge in fundraising and support for local charities.
Shauna McGrath and Fiona Egan, put their hearts into initiatives that brightened Christmas for families and children in Tullamore.
Shauna partnered with the Tullamore Lions Club for a meaningful food appeal, organising a staff-wide food drive to support local families in need.
Fiona took the lead on a toy drive, raising an impressive €786.80 for Barnardo's to purchase toy vouchers, ensuring that children in need in the area had gifts to open on Christmas morning, the team also raised €65 for Down Syndrome Ireland, the iNUA Collection’s Charity Partner for 2024.
“We were delighted to work alongside two amazing charities local to Tullamore to help the people and children of our community,” said Shauna.
“The food drive was coordinated by myself, and the toy drive was led by Fiona. We hope these efforts will help many families and bring smiles to children’s faces. We’re excited to continue working with these fantastic charities in the future.”
“The team really showed up and came together to help the local community. We were delighted to get involved in the initiatives and to help make a difference to many families this Christmas” said Garret O'Neill Regional Operations Manager for the iNua Collection.
Tullamore Lions Club and Barnardos play vital roles in supporting those in need in our local area, and we’re so proud to have contributed to their incredible work this festive season.
“We want to say a huge thank you to Shauna and the team at the Tullamore Court Hotel for their generous donation which will help many local families this Christmas. With a cost of living crisis there are many families struggling and our aim is to help as many of those as we can. We look forward to working with The Tullamore Court Hotel in the future,” a spokesperson on behalf of Tullamore Lions Club said.
“It was a great amount to get just before Christmas and we are delighted Fiona approached us to help all the families this Christmas” a spokesperson for Barnardos said.
"At Tullamore Court Hotel, community is at the heart of everything we do. This Christmas, we’re reminded of the joy that comes from coming together to give back. We look forward to continuing our partnerships with these wonderful organisations and hopefully making a difference for families in Offaly for years to come," said Mr O'Neill
