Major sponsorship deal announced by Offaly GAA

CONDRON Concrete, the Tullamore-based leader in the Irish concrete industry, has announced a new three-year sponsorship agreement with Offaly GAA, which will fully fund the county's "Coaching and Games Development" programme.

The sponsorship marks Condron Concrete’s commitment to supporting youth and community sports in Offaly, continuing a family tradition of backing local GAA teams and initiatives.

The company, founded by the late Johnny Condron and now led by his son, Managing Director John Condron, has long been connected to Offaly GAA. Johnny Condron, a passionate supporter of Offaly Hurling, was known for his dedication to promoting GAA at the grassroots level. John sees this sponsorship as both an opportunity to honour his father’s legacy and to make a meaningful contribution to the local community.

With this investment, Condron Concrete aims to ensure that Offaly's ambitious Coaching and Games Development programmes will be fully funded, enabling the nurturing and advancement of young players across the county.

Managing Director of Condron Concrete, John Condron commented on the new partnership:

"My father was a dedicated supporter of Offaly Hurling and believed in the power of sport to build community and character. This sponsorship is a way for Condron Concrete to honour his legacy while investing in the future of Offaly GAA. We are proud to support the Coaching and Games Development programme, which is vital for nurturing young talent and keeping the spirit of GAA alive and strong across the county."

Chairman of Offaly GAA, Tom Parlon expressed his gratitude for the sponsorship, saying:

"We are thrilled to have Condron Concrete on board as a key partner in Offaly GAA. Their support will be instrumental in advancing our Coaching and Games Development initiatives, ensuring that young players have the resources, training, and mentorship they need to thrive. The backing from a local business like Condron Concrete, with such deep roots in the community and in Offaly’s sporting history, is invaluable."

The "Coaching and Games Development" programme is central to Offaly GAA's strategy to inspire and cultivate the next generation of athletes. This sponsorship will provide essential resources to develop coaching talent and to expand the opportunities available to players across the county, making sure that GAA remains at the heart of Offaly communities.
