Offaly student gets big award after hitting 250,000 YouTube subscribers

An Offaly YouTuber has received an award from the video sharing platform after reaching a major milestone.

St Brendan's Community School in Birr shared the news and congratulated Luke Lynch who goes by the name Fnafboi1278 on YouTube. 

"Huge congratulations to Luke Lynch, LCA1, who received this award from YouTube for reaching over 100k subscribers for his YouTube channel. Well done Luke, we are very proud of your achievement!"

Luke actually has already hit 250,000 subscribers on the platform. His videos of 'Smilling Critters,' a community of talking plush toys have earned him a massive following all over the world.

His YouTube bio says: "I am from Ireland and I make plushie videos. I manly stick to fnaf characters but I do use other characters from different franchises in my videos! I also make custom plushies like fnaf characters or just from my imagination into a character!"

You can see one of the most viewed video below. This clip has almost 150,000 views.

Luke is not the first Offaly man to find success on YouTube. Sean McLoughlin, better known as JackSepticEye, has more than 30 million subscribers on the platform. 

He was interviewed on the RTE Late Late Show back in 2018 and again in 2022.
