€1 million astro turf pitch planned for Offaly GAA training grounds

Faithful Fields in Kilcormac

OFFALY GAA have applied for planning permission to construct an astro turf pitch at their training grounds in Faithful Fields, Kilcormac.

Chairman Tom Parlon told delegates that this pitch will cost over €1 million to construct – the County Board have taken out a long term lease on an extra fifteen acres of land from local landowners beside Faithful Fields.

Banagher business man Kieran Keenaghan is once again heading up a fundraising committee and they hope funding will come from a local sports capital grant and support from Leinster Council and Croke Park.
