PLAYER RATINGS: How the Offaly players fared in Joe McDonagh final win over Laois

Charlie Mitchell - It looked like it would be one of those days for Charlie Mitchell as he struggled to get out of the lower gears in the first half but he turned it all around spectacularly in the second half. He was named as the RTE man of the match and his second half display was certainly central to the win. He scored four brilliant points and did very well to win ball when left to his own devices for extended periods in the forward line in the second half. A truly great second half display by the Kilcormac-Killoughey man, even if Cillian Kiely was my choice as man of the match as he performed at the same high level in both halves. Rating – 9
