'A lovely guy and good friend' - Tributes paid after sad death of beloved Offaly man
Tributes are being paid this week after the sad death of Offaly man Declan Currams.
The Tullamore man died peacefully at home and is pre-deceased by his parents William and Maisie, brothers Liam and Brendan.
"Declan will be sadly missed and always remembered by his loving wife Helen, daughters Aisling and Ida, son William, sons in law John and Pat, daughter in law Trudy, his adored grandchildren Ethan, Maisie, Abi, Izzy and David, nephew Maurice, sisters Anne and Marie, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends," his RIP.ie notice reads.
Tributes have been flooding in for Declan who has been described as a "lovely man."
One tribute read: "My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Helen, Aisling, Ida and William on the very sad passing of Declan, dear husband and Dad. I have great memories of Declan from Tullamore Squash Club and many great and enjoyable chats over the years. May Declan rest in peace."
"Sorry for your loss Declan was a lovely guy and a good friend may he rest in peace," another said.
A third wrote: "My sincere condolences and sympathy to all the Currams family. Great memories of Declan’s wit and humour and chats."
A fourth tribute read: "We offer our deepest sympathy to Helen, Aisling, Ida, William, Grandchildren & extended family & friends. Declan was a pleasure to meet, would always come away feeling the better of having met him, funny man."
Funeral Arrangements:
Reposing at O'Reilly's Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore, on Thursday from 4.30pm until 6.30pm, with Rosary at 6pm. Removal from his Home on Friday morning at 9.30am to The Church of The Assumption, Tullamore, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Cremation Service after Mass in Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin at 1pm.
