A huge crowd gathered to watch the airing of a documentary celebrating the sporting career of Offaly Hurler Pádraig Horan at McIntyres Pub in Shannon Harbour on Thursday, February 19.
Pádraig Horan was joined by family, friends, former teammates and members of the community as they viewed TG4’s acclaimed documentary series 'Laochra Gael' which recognised his impressive sporting contribution to both Offaly and GAA as a whole.

Pádraig Horan was captain when Offaly won the All-Ireland championship for the first time in 1981 - an achievement that marked a turning point for Offaly hurling and cemented his place in the county’s sporting history.
