Tullamore Rotary bring comedy spectacular back for another year

Tullamore Rotary bring comedy spectacular back for another year

After last year's sell-out, Tullamore and District Rotary Club are again hosting their comedy night in Hugh Lynch’s at 7.30pm on Friday, February 16.

Last year's huge success is still talked about to this day, where from early to late all present laughed both with and at the comedians.

It all culminated in Kevin Pigott of Tullamore Dew being selected as the audience’s favourite comedian of the night and
the Tullamore and District Rotary Comedian for 2017.

Indeed, such was the success that the Rotary Club have decided to make this an annual event, with a perpetual trophy being sponsored by Hugh Lynch’s.

And, looking at the line up for this year, it will be a hard fought battle among the ‘budding comedians’ as they battle it out on this coming February 16.

From politicians (Marcella Corcoran Kennedy, TD) to Clergy (Rev. William Hayes) and from parishes across Offaly, ten brave souls have accepted the challenge including Robert McDermott, Ronan Scully, Nora Kavanagh, Frank Gilsenan, Ed Kelly, Mary Sherwin, Pat Minnock and last year's winner Kevin Pigott.

So, if you like comedy and want to enjoy a fantastic night why not support the Tullamore and District Rotary Club for a great evening of entertainment on Friday, February 16 at 7.30pm in Hugh Lynch’s.

Places are limited and last year the evening was sold out so get your tickets early from Hugh Lynch’s or e-mail Tullamorerotary@gmail.com and they’ll arrange for you to get your tickets. All proceeds go to Tullamore Rotary Projects.
