‘A Walk in the Park for Parkinson’s’ took place in Tullamore on Saturday, April 11 in aid of Parkinson’s Ireland.
Offaly's capital was one of a series of locations around the country participating in the campaign which ran alongside the charity’s nationwide fundraising event.
The walk which enjoyed a great show of support was carried out in Tullamore town park from 11am to 1.30pm and was officially opened by Deputy John Clendennen.

Following the conclusion of the walk, participants were invited for refreshments in the Central Hotel, kindly sponsored by Dovida.

All walkers were also entered into a free draw with first prize of a €100 voucher, sponsored by Nellipak, Clara. There was also a number of other prizes for those in attendance.
Fundraising remains a key part of Parkinson’s Ireland’s work, supporting essential services for people living with Parkinson’s and their families.
