Fundraising Festive Country Gospel celebration at St Cronan’s Church, Roscrea

MUSIC lovers can put a date in their diaries as St Cronan’s Church, Roscrea, will host a very special festive event on Sunday, December 14th 2025, as renowned Irish Christian and Country Gospel singer James Kilbane returns for A Country Gospel Evening & Festive Celebration.

The event begins at 6pm (doors open 5.30pm) and is being held in aid of the parish’s new church heating system.

The evening promises an uplifting mix of faith-filled country gospel, cherished Christmas favourites, and heartfelt seasonal music. James Kilbane, widely recognised for his inspiring voice and long-standing contribution to Irish Christian music, continues to share his message of hope and community through his recordings and concerts.

With a recording career spanning two decades, including chart successes, television appearances, and continued global streaming growth, Kilbane remains a trusted and beloved voice for many households, parishes, and communities.

Adding to the festive spirit, the event will open with a special performance by young musicians from the Theresa Larkin School of Music, Roscrea. These talented local performers will introduce the evening with a selection of seasonal pieces, bringing youthful energy and community pride to this celebration.

St Cronan’s Church, situated in the heart of Roscrea and serving communities across Co. Tipperary as well as neighbouring areas of Offaly and Westmeath, continues to be an important spiritual and community centre. With a growing need for an upgraded heating system, the parish is hopeful that this event will support the ongoing improvements required to maintain comfort and welcome for all who gather there.
