Offaly man Michael Hough has been cast as Eli James in the Netflix reboot of Little House on the Prairie.

The Banagher man is the brother of Ger Hough, current proprietor of their famous family pub, JJ Houghs. Michael has previously made appearances in the pub's now infamous Christmas adverts.

Michael has previously starred in Chapelwaite and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The news of his casting was reported exclusively by Deadline, who also shared the names of some of his co-stars.
