Offaly 'hidden gem' to feature on popular RTE show - here's when to watch

A stunning Offaly walk will feature on the latest episode of RTE's popular Tracks & Trails series on Friday, May 30.

Offaly journalist Fiona Mitchell will take viewers to the Giant's Grave Loop on the Laois-Offaly border in the Slieve Blooms. In the same episode, which airs at 8pm on Friday night, RTE broadcaster Claire Byrne will be in her native Laois showing viewers the Glenbarrow Old Mill Loop, also in the Slieve Bloom Mountains.

Guests on this series of Tracks and Trails included Barry Murphy, Brooke Scullion, Bryan Dobson, James Kavanagh and Mark Devenport.

The much-loved series offers viewers a fresh and inspiring look at Ireland’s most beautiful walking routes. This Friday is the last episode in the current series is fronted by broadcaster, musician, and podcaster Doireann Ní Ghlacáin.

Each episode captures heartfelt conversations and scenic adventures, as Doireann and her guests traverse woodland paths, coastal trails, historic sites, revealing not just the natural beauty of the landscape, but also the emotional and cultural connections that make these places so meaningful.
